Chief Medical Officer of Health Miriam Klassen understands that residents may be dealing with Covid fatigue in terms with dealing with ongoing health measures.
“You do make a difference. Every action counts. You do make a difference by keeping to your own household. By keeping physically distanced from anyone not in your household. Wearing a face covering. Washing your hands frequently and staying home when you are ill.”
Dr. Klassen also provided information on what the next steps were for when vaccines arrive in Huron Perth and people begin to be vaccinated locally.
“Once we have vaccine in the Huron Perth the next priority population will be residents of long term care homes and retirement homes and other congregate settings that look after seniors.”
Wellington County saw 34 Covid cases yesterday. Active cases there jumped to 72 with 1 person in Hospital.
