After a 3-year pause the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run will make a return to Huron County on Thursday.
Huron County OPP & Special Olympics Ontario are inviting residents to participate by running alongside those participating or simply pulling up a lawn chair and cheering on participants as they pass-by.
Special Olympians, police officers, family members, friends and community supporters from all over Huron County will run, walk, scooter and stroll together on Thursday to increase awareness & raise funds for Special Olympics.
The Torch Run starts at 9 am at the Maitland River Community Church in Wingham. It will then head through town ending at the south end.
The event has raised more than $73 million dollars across Canada since it started.
