The victim reported the theft yesterday afternoon about 5:00pm. He was hunting deer on Hawkins Road in the Maitland Conservation Area when he heard his truck alarm go off.
The vehicle’s window had been smashed in and the two firearms that had been stored inside the vehicle were missing. The firearms are described as a muzzle loader with a camouflage stock, stainless steel barrel with a 3 by 9 scope.
The other firearm is a mossberg pump action rifle with a wood stock and black barrel.
