Huron East & North Huron name Kent Readman New Fire Chief

The Municipality of Huron east and the Township of North Huron jointly announced the hiring of a new Fire Chief on a continued shared service agreement between the two Municipalities.

Kent Readman will take the position as of December 6th and will work closely with retiring Fire Chief Bedard next month to ensure a smooth transition of the department.

In the release they say Readman has 20 years of experience in volunteer fire service having been in the role of Fire Chief for the past 5 years.

He is also active as a Director on the Ontario Association of Fire Chief’s Board of Directors and has roots in Huron County.

He was part of the North Huron department until 2015 when he left to further advance his goal of becoming a Fire Chief.
