A county wide group is working to help address animal control officer needs in lower-tier municipalities in Huron.
The Animal Control Working Group, which met last month is comprised of all lower-tier municipalities including ACW, Goderich and Huron East.
Howick is not included as they recently withdrew from the group as they have existing bylaw enforcement to assume animal control officer duties.
At a recent North Huron meeting, Carson Lamb says the current animal control officer, Jim Renwick will remain until a new officer has been hired.
