Community support is needed to support two local dogs battling heartworm disease.
The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth is urging the community for donations to save 2 year old Django currently in care at the Stratford Centre and 4 year old Oscar in Kitchener.
The humane society says not only one but two dogs undergoing heartworm treatment is rare for them and costly.
Together its expected both medical costs will go to $10,000.
Both will undergo treatment for the next few months before being ready for adoption.
