HPPH says the story reminds them that the people that care for patients in the community can also find themselves being patients.
In the story from Dr. Hayward she discusses being a patient in the Special Care Nursery at Stratford General in 2018 and the scary first three weeks of her little girls life.
She says she will never forget the delicate care and kindness received.
She then fast forwards to this year and her working back in Stratford as a physician for HPPH in her dream job and her little girl is healthy and thriving.
Dr. Hayward is quoted with sometimes the hardest experiences bring about tremendous growth and purpose.
