The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been eyeing an expansion and renovation to stay up to date with the growing population locally to expand the Fisher Family Primary Care Centre in town.
This has been on the list for the hospital to work towards with hopes to have shovels in the grounds in the fall.
Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation Administrator Mich Matheson says this major project will be half funded by the foundation themselves.
“We’re talking a major project expanding the clinic. The Foundation is supporting almost half of that project” Matheson.
The total cost for the Fisher Clinic upgrades will come at a cost of $9 million.
Support has already poured in for the expansion when late last year Bill and Lynne Gray donated $610,000 for the work.
