The event sees youth ages 13 to 25 take part. They meet at an event aimed at teaching young breeders how to judge, prepare their animals for show and market their generics.
Derrick Knill from Bornholm was named to Team Canada on Tuesday.
He is in his second year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Ontario Veterinary College, after completing his Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Guelph.
He discovered his passion for cattle and the dairy industry through the 4-H program & employment on local dairy farms.
He is very interested in the field of embryo transfer and reproductive management and hopes to specialize in these areas in the future.
