Harvest of Hope Returns with Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is once again bringing back its educational garden, the Harvest of Hope in Listowel.

The program holds a series of classes for anyone who wants to learn more about growing their own food or preservation classes such as canning.

Carolyn Saunders with the Salvation Army says the classes are perfect for anyone and is something anyone can pickup and learn from easily.

“If you’ve never tried something before and you’re like “oh no that’s too scary’ someone could be showing you how to do it, it takes a little bit of the unknown out of it. When somebody walks you through it, it’s not as hard to think about doing it yourself.” said Saunders

The first series of classes begin next month and is open to everyone with those looking to register asked to contact the Salvation Army.
