Hanover Police Seeing Large Increase in Warrant Arrests

Hanover Police have seen a heavy increase in arrests which have been a result of outstanding warrants.

Police say there has been a 50 per cent increase in the first 5 months of the year related to people being arrested and held in custody in Hanover cells on outstanding warrants.

Police Chief Christopher Knoll says this is in large part due to those not attending required court dates.

Hanover Police are reminding those who required to attend court to make their appearance as failure to do so will result in an eventual arrest and incarceration which at a time could have been avoided.
