The Guelph-Wellington Ontario Health Team is getting a provincial boost.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae alongside Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Joseph Racinsky announced an investment of $4,479,600 for the health team to help connect an additional 12,800 patients to a primary care team.
This funding will be split among multiple health teams including in Mount Forest, Minto-Mapleton, East Wellington and the Upper Grand Family Health Team.
Rae says access to a primary care provider should be simple and this funding delivers for rural communities in Wellington North, Minto and Mapleton.
