It is dedicated to demanding action from candidates and community representatives to ensure mental health & wellness are a priority in the upcoming municipal election.
In the release they advise that the mental health & addiction crisis is reaching critical levels with both estimated 4 out of 5 youth are struggling with both or either.
As of June of this year, referrals for key care pathways have skyrocketed with child psychiatry up 96%, counselling & treatment services up 146% and family support up 56% since the start of the pandemic.
