The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a water safety message given the rainfall which came down on Sunday.
Some areas of the watershed prior to Sunday had already received 30mm of rain over the span over 6 hours.
No significant flooding is expected with this event but flows in rivers and streams could see an increase. GRCA reservoirs are operating at their normal levels for this time of year.
The public is asked to exercise extreme caution near all local waterways with banks adjacent to rivers and creeks can be very slippery.
The water safety message is expected to stay in effect until noon today.
