GRCA Reminds Visitors to Leash Their Dogs

The Grand River Conservation Authrotiy is reminding trail users and those who head onto conservation areas to leash their dogs.

The GRCA says to have dogs on a leash that’s less than two metres to keep area staff and visitors safe and discourage pets from wandering away or getting injured.

Owners are also asked to not let dogs chase or disturb wildlife as many nest in the ground.

Those who fail to do so can also face fines.

Staff are out increasing enforcement and encouraging visitors to take the lead when visiting with their pets.
