The Grand River Conservation Authority Board and OPSEU Local 259, representing around 103 GRCA employees have voted to ratify a new collective agreement.
This new agreement provides GRCA employees represented by the union with a 2.7 per cent wage increase in 2026 and a special adjustment of 1.3 per cent.
In 2027, GRCA employees will also get a wage increase of 2.7 per cent with a special adjustment of 0.3 per cent.
GRCA Chair John Challinor II says this agreement reflects the collaborative efforts of both bargaining teams and supports a fair, equitable and competitive approach while remaining fiscally responsible and focused on the long term strength of the organization.
