Government Reaches Tentative Deal with OCEW

The Ontario government has reached a tentative deal with school staff represented by the Ontario Council of Educational Workers.

The council says it reached the deal after multiple days of negotiations with the government as the deal will go to members for a ratification vote in the coming weeks.

The OCEW is made up of 6 unions representing thousands of workers at public and catholic school boards.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce says keeping kids in class has always been their number one priority.
