Citizens in Stratford who are opposed to the proposed $400 million dollar Xinyi glass plant are going after council.
Get Concerned Stratford has launched a formal complaint against council citing a lack of transparency and consultation of councils handling of the Ministerial Zoning Order. The City of Stratford posted on their Facebook page with a question and answer panel regarding the proposed glass plant.
As talks between the city and Xinyi continue, those opposed have taken to multiple demonstrations at Market Square.
A special council meeting will take place December 14th where council will hear from Xinyi Canada. There is another demonstration planned for Monday afternoon at Market Square.
