A Quebec woman is the first in Canada to reportedly develop a blood clot after being vaccinated from the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Quebec health ministry and Public Health Agency of Canada reported the incident. The female patient, who officials would not say her age has received care and is recovering at home.
The woman had received a dose produced at the Serum Institute of India known as Covishield. More than 700,000 in Canada have received a dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Officials say getting blood clots from COVID-19 is far higher than from the vaccine itself.
