Staff at the Hall that arrived Saturday afternoon found that an unknown person had driven a vehicle onto King’s Field located directly behind the museum causing extensive damage to the grass in the outfield.
Police attended the scene and confirmed the damage, finding that the vehicle was likely a large pickup truck with heavy tread on the tires.
The vehicle appears to have been driven in circles at a high rate of speed, creating tire tracks throughout the field.
The damage is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours from Friday evening to Saturday morning.
At this time police have no suspects in this matter but they are requesting anyone who has information to contact them at 519-271-4141 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
