A Fergus restaurant has had the sale of liquor halted and a notice issued to have their licence revoked from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
The Goofie Newfie in Fergus faces these following one of the bar owners being convicted of two counts of sexual assault.
The AGCO has issued an order to immediately suspend their licence to halt the sale of liqour.
Under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, individuals are not eligible to hold a liquor licence where there are reasonable grounds to believe the applicant will not carry on business in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty.
