The federal government is extending the wage subsidy program until December.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement as part of Monday’s media briefing, making this the second extension for the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy.
The program was introduced on March 27th and extended to August 29th on May 15th.
The wage subsidy allows qualifying businesses and non-profits up to 75% funding for employee wages. The program is retroactive to March 15th.
