Federal government bringing in required negative Covid-19 test to re-enter Canada

The Federal Government announced new restrictions when it comes to travellers re-entering Canada from travel abroad.

Federal Minister of Safety Bill Blair explains that airlines will now be required to ensure all passengers have received a negative Covid-19 test within the previous 72 hours before boarding a flight bound for Canada.

He added that this measure is in addition to the 14 day quarantine for travellers once they get to Canada and is not a replacement.

They are strongly discouraging discretionary travel during the pandemic.
