The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance has announced the hiring of Esther Millar, who will become the next President and CEO of the hospital alliance as of September 9th.
She comes in as Karl Ellis announced his retirement in January after 14 years of service.
The board says Ellis led the hospitals through many achievements and major renovations and provided steady leadership throughout many challenges such as floods, a recent fire and the pandemic.
Millar brings in an extensive wealth in healthcare leadership and patient care.
Millar has worked as a senior health care executive across the province in healthcare sectors including acute care, public health, mental health and long term care.
