The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is shining with pride after the local success for the EQAO results which has been seen as one of the highest participation rates in the province.
The students in the Primary Division of Huron-Perth Catholic exceeded the provincial results in Reading,
Writing, and Mathematics.
● 85% of the students in the Primary Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Reading compared to the provincial average of 75%.
● 78% of the students in the Primary Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Writing compared to the provincial average of 67%.
● 78% of the students in the Primary Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Mathematics compared to the provincial average of 65%.
The students in the Junior Division of Huron-Perth Catholic exceeded the provincial results in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
● 89% of the students in the Junior Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Reading compared to the provincial average of 86%.
● 87% of the students in the Junior Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Writing compared to the provincial average of 85%.
● 53% of the students in the Junior Division achieved Level 3 or 4 in Mathematics compared to the provincial average of 52%.
Mary Helen Van Loon, Chair of the Board says the EQAO results reflect the hard work of students and staff as they continue to progress toward excellence in literacy and math adding its exciting to witness the success of students and express gratitude to those who are teaching, mentoring, supporting and assisting students in learning.
