The Fergus Agricultural Society has named Emma Vervoort as the Ambassador of the Fergus Fall Fair.
Vervoort is in her second year of the Welding Engineering Inspection Program at Conestoga College and well active in Centre Wellington serving as a member of the Eramosa 4-H Dairy Club, a skating instructor for the Elora Skating Club and volunteers framing houses for Habitat for Humanity.
The Agricultural Society also took time to honour Lifetime Members, a title reserved for those who have given exceptional time, effort and work to improve the organization which includes Doug Jefferson, Sandra Howatt and Paul Howatt.
