Due to sudden health human resource shortages the emergency department at the Seaforth Community Hospital will see a reduction in services starting Wednesday running into the weekend.
The ED will close overnight starting at 5pm reopening on Thursday at 7am.
The hours of operation for the Emergency Department will then run on a 7am-5pm basis for the rest of the week until Monday when it reopens at 7am to return to 24 hours of service.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 911, paramedics will remain available and re-route to the nearest emergency department.
Wednesday, February 1, 2023 – The Emergency Department will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023 – The Emergency Department will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 – The Emergency Department will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, February 4, 2023 – The Emergency Department will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, February 5, 2023 – The Emergency Department will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, February 6, 2023 – The Emergency Department will open at 7a.m. at which point regular hours of operation (24 hours daily) will resume.
