Emergencies Act Inquiry finds Federal Government Justified in Using Act

The Inquiry into the invoking of the Emergencies Act has announced its findings and stated that the government met the very high threshold of invoking the Act last winter against the Freedom Convoy.

Justice Paul Roleau said in the report released today stated that a series of policing failures and other events led to a situation that had spun out of control in Downtown Ottawa.

He said that most of the measures brought in were appropriate.
