The Minto Farmers Market is warning vendors of a scam going around of an email impersonating the farmers market.
The email is being sent inviting vendors to apply for the 2026 season with some follow up emails also being sent to confirm acceptance and taking a payment.
The Minto Farmers Market says they only have two email forms for communication neither of which uses gmail.
Full season vendor fees are also only collected by cheque payable to the town, E-transfer if requested, daily vendor fees collected.
Those who receive messages that appear suspicious are asked to contact the farmers market.
