They say that after consultation with Regional and Provincial Health Officials they determined due to the current precarious state of the pandemic they would not move forward with an in-person festival which was tentatively scheduled for April 2nd, 2022.
The Committee say they will now meet to discuss alternative methods of delivering the festivals core values of supporting the Elmira community.
Last year the Festival was virtual and took place over two days with Pancake Box sales taking place online ahead of the event.
The Festival has given over $1.7 million dollars to the community, to both charitable and non-profit organizations in the Elmira and Waterloo Region community.
