Electricity Rates Now Set to Off-Peak

Today marks the start of 21 days to amend electricity rates in the province.

In response to current restrictions and more residents working from home, the Ontario government has set electricity rates to off peak for various customers.

Off-Peak rates are set at 8.2 cents per kilowatt-hour.

The rates will apply to residential customers, small businesses and farms who pay regulated rates set by the Ontario Energy Board.
