A driver who fled the scene of a crash didn’t get too far.
On June 17th, Huron County OPP received a report of a crash on Winthrop Road in Huron East.
Officers responded with the Huron East Fire Department at around 7:50am for the two vehicle crash.
An 80 year old from Stratford was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries with another driver fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers with the help of K9 was able to find and arrest the 38 year old suspect.
The Central Huron resident has been charged with Driving Under Suspension, Driving Without a License, Failing to Stop at an Accident and Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm.
