On November 24th at around 9:30am, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and sedan on Elora Street South in Harriston.
OPP was joined with Guelph-Wellington paramedics with the driver of the SUV taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It was reported the sedan fled the scene at a high rate of the speed.
Witnesses were able to take photos of the sedan and the drier. Police were able to locate the driver and as a result, a 55 year old from Harriston has been charged with a slew of offenses including Failure to Stop After Accident, Dangerous Operation and Operation While Impaired.
The accused will appear in Guelph court at a later date.
