Driver Fined for Leaving Two Dogs in Hot Car

Wellington County OPP have charged a driver who left two dogs in a hot car.

The driver in Elora had left their dogs unattended with no water in direct sunlight and no way to regulate their own body temperature.

OPP say both dogs were rescued with the driver given a fine of $360 for putting the animals in distress.

Police say every year pets go into serious medical distress as result of leaving animals in a hot car and if you ever spot this happening to call OPP and the local humane society.
