The Rotary Club of Stratford is once again gearing up for the Dragon Boat Festival next month.
Taking place September 19th along the Avon River, the annual event welcomes thousands of participants and spectators which is free to attend complete with dragon boat racing, live entertainment, local food vendors and family friendly activities.
This year will see 48 dragon boat teams which since its inception raised over $1 million for local charities and making a lasting impact in Stratford.
Event Chair, Robert Ritz says every team who takes to the water, every volunteer and those who come out to cheer contributes to something much bigger than a day of racing.
