The Downtown Stratford Business Improvement Area has approved its Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Policy.
The BIA says the more inclusive we are, the better the work will be for the community.
The work has been done over the past two years which digs deep into how the BIA will champion equity, diversity and inclusion with a variety of steps.
New board members, staff and volunteers will be required to sign off on the policy.
Prompts for this charter gained more ground in 2020 after a post in a community Facebook group was shared of a Confederate flag in the window of a Stratford home.
