North Perth Firefighter Donald Hymers was among those honoured in Ottawa on Sunday.
Hymers was one of the 141 fallen firefighters named as part of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation Memorial Ceremony with Hymers family and the North Perth Fire Department attending the ceremony.
The department says the ceremony was beautifully conducted which included a flyover by the Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds.
Hymers served for 45 years on the fire department, primarily out of the Monkton Station.
