On December 14th officers received a call from a victim that reported incidents of domestic assault.
The investigation revealed the accused committed an assault causing bodily harm on the victim in 2019.
Additionally, two other incidents that took place in 2020 were reported to police. In one incident the accused assaulted the victim with a weapon and in another the accused committed a sexual assault against the victim.
The accused is a 26 year old from Bluewater and they have been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and sexual assault.
The accused has since been released from custody with a future court date.
