When it comes to dialing 911, the North Perth Fire Department says that isn’t necessary if you burnt toast.
The fire department says they’ve responded to multiple 911 calls which aren’t actually emergencies and do not need fire crews to respond to the scene.
Calls have included smoke alarms sounding off over steam from cooking and showers and in some cases, smoke coming from burnt toast.
The fire department says to make use of a bathroom fan, range hood or simply just open a window.
