Deputy Chief Gerry Foster Retiring from Stratford Police Service

After 35 years of commitment to the policing profession, Deputy Chief Gerry Foster has announced his retirement from the Stratford Police Service.

Gerry first began his career with a five year stint with the Canadian Military as a Military Police Officer who then transferred to civilian policing in April of 1995 when became a Stratford officer.

Over his 30 years, Deputy Chief Foster progressed through the ranks performing a number of increasingly responsible duties such as supervising Uniform Patrol Platoons, Criminal Investigations Division, Emergency Response Unit and Training Unit.

Gerry was promoted in Deputy Chief in 2018.

Police Chief Greg Skinner says after 35 years, Gerry takes a great deal of expertise and corporate memory with him making his shoes difficult to fill.
