Not even 24 hours on the picket lines and Unifor says its reached a tentative deal with General Motors in an agreement similar to one reached with Ford last month.
The terms includes all items the company pushed back against such as pensions, retiree income support and moving temporary workers into permanent positions.
The new agreement will cover the almost 4300 workers at GM’s Oshawa assembly plant, St Catharines propulsion plant and Woodstocks parts distribution centre.
GM Canada President Marissa West says the agreement recognizes the many contributions of team members with an increase in wages, benefits and job security.
