Officers were called to the intersection of Wellington Road 124 and Wellington Road 26, west of Erin at around 5:30 this morning.
Officers and emergency services responded and found that a pickup and sedan had collided and there were serious injuries.
The 51-year-old sedan driver of Guelph was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Office of the Chief Coroner was notified.
The Wellington OPP is asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
