Wellington County council approved the launch of a new Green Development Program.
Done in collaboration with Grey County and Dufferin County, the program was developed in consultation with industry, municipal staff and partners such as Urban Equation, Georgian College and the Planning Partnership.
Karen Chisholme, Sustainability and Climate Change Manager says this program gives the County a practical, collaborative way to tackle climate change challenges and growth opportunities while supporting development innovation.
The program is being supported by a $445,000 investment from Natural Resources Canada’s Code Acceleration Fund.
