North Perth council heads back to the chambers Monday and among the agenda includes a final decision on allowing ATV’s on a section of North Perth trails.
This has been a hot button topic in council and among the public for several months which has gone through the ringer of council meetings and public feedback.
Results from a survey done on YourSayNorthPerth will be shared on Monday where it showed 57 per cent of the 729 responses are not in favour of ATV use on the trails with 46 per cent saying yes.
As for a 6 month trial, 54 per cent showed to not be in favour over the 46 per cent saying its worth trying.
Positives for the use on the survey included Economic Benefits, Community Engagement, Safety and Maintenance whereas the negatives raised was Damage to Trails, Safety, Noise and Environmental Impact.
As its currently written in a staff report, its recommended council to deny the request from the North Perth & District ATV Club for use of ATV trail use on a section of the North Perth Trail System.
