Conners had bogeys on his first two holes on Sunday but rebounded by birdieing the 6th and then did one better on the 7th with an eagle.
There were other rough patches on the day with bogeys on 4 more holes on the day include the final 18th which saw him finish the day at 5 under.
He finished the tournament tired for 15th.
Fellow Kent State Alumni, and future Olympics Team Canada teammate Mackenzie Hughes faired a bit better. He birdied the 12th and final 18th and finished at 8 under tired for 6th.
American Collin Morikawa was the story of the tournament finishing at 15 under and beating the 2nd place Jordan Spieth by 2 shots.
Now Corey and Mackenzie prepare for Tokyo.
