Contract on Palmerston Arena Expansion & Ball Field Upgrades Awarded

The planned expansion of Palmerston Arena and the enhancement of the Ball Field has reached another milestone with the tender on the project being awarded to a local construction company.

Domm Construction was the successful bidder on the project being awarded the 2 million dollar project.

The approval was given on December 21^st and includes an addition on the arena, renovation of the dressing rooms and upgrading of the lighting at the ball field to LED.

The joint Federal and Provincial infrastructure grant is providing the lion share of the funding at $1.7 million dollars.

The project is expected to be substantially completed by September.
