The Upper Grand District School Board is congratulating Wellington Heights Secondary student Connor S who received the Ontario Minor Hockey Association $5000 Bursary.
The bursary was presented in collaboration with Dairy Farmers of Ontario with Connor being one of eight winners among the thousands of applicants across Ontario.
Connor says the application process was difficult having to write out a letter of his hockey achievements, extracurricular and community service in and out of school who say it was awkward for him to talk as he isn’t one to brag but calls the win one of his proudest achievements.
