A combined COVID-19 and Influenza A outbreak at the Stratford General Hospital has been ruled as over by Huron Perth Public Health.
The outbreak was affecting the Medicine Unit at the hospital which was first declared on January 15th.
The unit has since been reopened to admissions and transfers with family and caregiver presence being restored.
Erica Jensen, Manager of Quality, Patient Safety and Infection Control says when the outbreak was declared, immediate precautions were taken including prevalence testing for patients.
