A tractor trailer hauling around 43,000lbs of patio stones is facing 17 charges after a stop by police.
Wellington County OPP stopped the tractor trailer after it ran a red light all while cutting off two vehicles in the process.
As a result the driver was hit with a total of 17 charges which includes;
1. Drive commercial motor vehicle with a major defect in it or in drawn vehicle
2. Fail to enter defect in daily inspection report
3. Fail to accurately complete daily inspection report
4. Insecure load – commercial motor vehicle
5. Operate commercial motor vehicle with load not secured as prescribed
6. Red light – fail to stop
7. Improper tires – commercial motor vehicle
8. Push rod stroke exceeds prescribed limit – commercial motor vehicle
9. Defective brakes – commercial motor vehicle
10. Fail to surrender CVOR certificate
11. Drive commercial motor vehicle with no ELD
12. Fail to ensure performance standards are met
13. Fail to ensure daily inspection report is accurately completed
14. Fail to accurately complete daily inspection report
15. Permit operation of commercial motor vehicle with load not secured as prescribed
16. Fail to equip commercial motor vehicle with required ELD information packet
17. Fail to equip commercial motor vehicle with ELD as required
