Cindy McLean continues her challenge to help raise funds to support the purchase of chemotherapy chairs for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
Cindy has been handcycling for her fundraiser dubbed 10×21: Cycling 4 Chemo Chairs where she will be hand-cycling 21kms across communities served by the cancer centre.
McLean made a stop in Listowel where she trekked from PBJ Cleaning Depot and across the Listowel to Atwood rail trail.
McLean says raising funds for these cancer chairs is critical.
“The Grand River Regional Cancer Centre sees between 70-100 people a day in their chemo suite and so there is a lot of use and the chemo chairs need to be the backbone of that service delivery.” said McLean.
